The general public is invited to hear David R. Riemer speak on his new book,

Putting Government in Its Place: The Case for a New Deal 3.0.                                                    

Riemer explains the major gaps, flaws, and mistakes of the New Deal settlement and spells out fundamental, sweeping changes needed to revive it. Riemer’s proposed New Deal 3.0 intends to create greater economic security for all Americans, make the market economy more productive, and enlarge the nation’s wealth, all with the purpose of creating America’s next birth of freedom.

David R. Riemer (Harvard ’70, Harvard Law School '75) is also the author of The Prisoners of Welfare
, and numerous articles on poverty, health care reform, and public administration. He is a co-founder of the New Hope Project. Mr. Riemer has been active for many years in reshaping Wisconsin and U.S. policies on welfare, poverty, health care, and education.
