     In addition to the Pulitzer Prize, The Underground Railroad received the National Book Award for fiction, the Carnegie Medal for Excellence, and the Arthur C. Clarke Award. The book was an Oprah book club selection and a #1 New York Times bestseller.

Colson Whitehead  (Harvard ’91) is also the author of The Noble Hustle, Zone One, Sag Harbor, The Intuitionist, John Henry Days, Apex Hides the
Hurt, and The Colossus of New York. He is a recipient of the MacArthur and Guggenheim fellowships and lives in New York City.
